Christmas Day

Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift (2 Corinthians 9:15)!

It is the Christmas miracle – The Word become flesh and dwelt among us (John 1:14). Jesus was the unique God-man.  As God, He walked on water, calmed the storm, healed the sick, and rose from the dead.  As man, He got thirsty and tired; He felt sorrow and pain.

Jesus came to earth as a helpless tiny seed planted in the womb of a young Jewish virgin.  Fort weeks later, Jesus was born in a filthy stable.

Jesus was born in Bethlehem.  Its name meaning "the house of bread," Bethlehem was the birth place of the Bread of Life.  God wanted people to know that hope of the world is a Savior.

On Christmas Day, in the midst of family and friends, gadgets and gifts, join Paul in exclaiming, Thanks be to God for His indiscernible gift?

CODE WORD: LOVE
The very definition of our Lord is this; God is love (1 John 4:8).  This advent season comes to a close with this word: love.  Love is the oxygen of the kingdom.  Without it there is no Christmas.  For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son (John 3:16).  Believe on Him.

Lord, I love you on this Christmas Day because you first loved me.
