Being Thankful

Many of you know that I drive a distance to work each day. There was a time when it really bothered me that I drove so far each day, but lately, I have had a different view. I now consider it a gift. You see, I get to spend time in Bible study each day with some of the best Bible teachers in the world. I hear the Word of God and daily it impacts my life. Often, Bro. Matt’s Sunday sermon will be reinforced by the teachings I hear on the radio while traveling. My Dad taught me to be thankful in all circumstances even when life doesn’t go the way we envisioned it to be. This one fact has helped me to see things differently. Instead of wringing my hands, I raise them in praise. I try to look for the good in things or as a friend would say, the silver lining. I urge you today to look for silver linings instead of focusing on the bad. It will make your day and your countenance better.

There’s a song that comes to mind:
I'm gonna think on the good things,
Think on what the Lord has done for me
I'm gonna think on the good, good things,

What I think is what I'm gonna be! …

 2 Corinthians 9:8
God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.
