The Beatitudes-Day 11

Day 11:

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. - Matthew 5:6

Seeking righteousness in daily life

Pursuing righteousness is a call to live out God’s standards in our everyday actions and choices. 1 Timothy 6:11 encourages us, “But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance, and gentleness.” Seeking righteousness involves intentionality, striving to reflect God’s heart in our thoughts, words, and deeds.

This pursuit begins in our minds, where we dwell on what is pure and pleasing to God. From there, it extends to our speech—using words that build others up and reflect His grace. Finally, our deeds should demonstrate integrity, love, and a commitment to what is right, even when difficult. It’s about living in a way that honors God and draws others to Him.

While pursuing righteousness, we are bound to face challenges and temptations. Yet, God gives us His strength to make choices that honor Him. As we rely on the Holy Spirit for guidance, we learn to live in a way that aligns with God’s will, making a meaningful impact in our relationships and communities.
